RONIN: Where Japanese Fire, Precision, and Theatre Meet on the Plate
25th June 2026
Dining at Ronin isn’t just about what’s on the menu.
It’s about what happens in front of you.
From the moment you step inside, the restaurant moves like a performance – flames rising from the grill, knives moving in rhythm, chefs building plates with surgical precision, and ingredients arriving at your table in their purest, most expressive form. At Ronin, Japanese cuisine isn’t hidden in the kitchen. It’s lived out in the open.
Every corner of the restaurant tells a different story, anchored by four distinct live experiences: the Teppanyaki Grill, the Robatayaki Grill, the Sushi Counter, and the Live Kitchen. Together, they create a dining journey that feels less like a meal and more like a curated show of fire, craft, and flavour.
Teppanyaki Grill: Fire, Precision, and Front-Row Energy
Take a seat at the teppanyaki counter and you’re immediately part of the action.
This is Japanese live-fire cooking at its most expressive — loud, precise, and unforgettable. The sizzle of A5 Wagyu hitting the hot plate, the flick of a spatula, the controlled chaos of flames rising for just a second before disappearing again.
Here, dishes are cooked right in front of you: A5 Saroma Wagyu Sirloin, Australian Wagyu Sirloin 8+, Wagyu Tenderloin “Toban Yaki”, Black Angus Rib Eye Steak, and giant prawns seared to perfection.
Each plate is finished with bold, clean accompaniments — ponzu cream, kizami wasabi, garlic chips, chimichurri, and sea salt — letting the quality of the ingredients do most of the talking.
It’s not dinner. It’s theatre with fire.
Robatayaki Grill: Smoke, Depth, and Slow-Burning Flavour
If teppanyaki is precision, robatayaki is soul.
Over glowing charcoal, flavours develop slowly, deeply, and unapologetically. The Robata grill brings together smoky richness and Japanese comfort in a way that feels almost primal.
Think BBQ Spicy Lamb Rack glazed in spicy miso and den miso. Yuzu Miso Black Cod, buttery and balanced with citrus and umami. Warayaki Wagyu Karubi, smoked and layered with galbi sauce, kimchi, and leek BBQ miso.
Then there’s the indulgence: Chilli Butter Lobster served with garlic lobster bisque curry and miso brioche, or the Niku meat selection designed for sharing — beef tenderloin, short ribs, lamb chops, yakitori, and grilled vegetables all in one spread.
And for the ultimate moment? A5 Wagyu Shabu Shabu with goma and ponzu sauces, finished with Oscietra caviar — simple, elevated, unforgettable.
Sushi Counter: Precision, Craft, and Pure Expression
At the sushi counter, everything slows down.
This is where precision takes over — where every roll, slice, and garnish is placed with intention. It’s clean, refined, and quietly theatrical in its own way.
Expect classics done properly and signatures that push things further. California rolls with fresh crab and green apple. Spicy Tuna with tobiko and yellow chilli heat. Ebi Prawn rolls stacked with tempura and rock shrimp. Watarigani with crab, tobiko, and daikon. And Chirashi bowls layered with hamachi, tuna, salmon, avocado, and yellow sauce.
Then there are the standouts — Tuna Mille-Feuille layered with toro, akami, and caviar, and the A5 Wagyu Caviar “Rock & Roll”, where shabu-shabu wagyu meets teriyaki, asparagus, and Oscietra caviar.
From sashimi to nigiri, every piece reflects the same philosophy: minimal interference, maximum impact.
Live Kitchen: The Hidden Rhythm Behind It All
Behind the scenes — and sometimes in full view — the live kitchen keeps everything moving.
This is where timing, precision, and coordination come together. Where dishes are finished, balanced, and sent out with consistency and care. It’s the heartbeat of Ronin, tying together the intensity of teppanyaki, the smoke of robata, and the finesse of sushi into one seamless experience.
A Dining Experience Built Around Energy, Not Just Food
What makes Ronin different isn’t just the menu — it’s the movement.
Four live stations. Four different energies. One immersive Japanese dining experience where guests don’t just eat, they watch, feel, and connect with every moment on the plate.
From the first sear of Wagyu on the teppan to the final bite of caviar-topped sushi, Ronin is about presence. Being there for it. Seeing it happen. Feeling part of it.
Because here, Japanese dining isn’t presented quietly in the background.
It performs right in front of you.
